RCAN\'s oil purchasing scheme is good for members, who save on average at least five pence per litre. The scheme also benefits the environment by reducing the number of tankers on Nottinghamshire’s country roads, and cutting vehicle mileage.
CAST is an educational angling project established since 2003 working full time with funding from Big Lottery Fund, Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Connexions, Environment Agency and Nottinghamshire Community Foundation. CAST develops community based volunteer led groups who work with young people in their own communities.

Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire have became landowners for the first time in the organisations history following the purchase of 220 acres of land at Newstead/Annesley. The land which is former colliery tips was purchased with a grant from Greater Nottingham Partnership and is the first step in the plan to create Newstead and Annesley Country Park.
