Community buildings provide a valuable community resource and are at the heart of community life. Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire has an officer devoted to assisting groups with the management of their village/community hall.
How can the Village Halls Advisor help you?
The Village Halls Advisor provides information and advice on ways to improve the management of your building, or on a range of maintenance queries, including:
Current legislation
Accessibility
Charity law and trusteeship
Health and safety
Energy efficiency for buildings
Funding and business planning
Model documents and policies
How do I receive these services?
Rural Community Action works with the Nottinghamshire Association of Village and Community Halls (NAVACH) to deliver the village hall service. To receive the services of the Village Halls Advisor, you have to become a member of NAVACH.
Membership costs £25 per annum and application forms are available from http://www.navach.org.uk

Advice on new or changing legislation affecting village and community halls
