Wheels to Work Nottinghamshire
Wheels to Work Nottinghamshire is a transport solution project aimed at helping people in rural areas to get over the initial problem of getting to work, training or education. The project aims to offer a transport solution where no suitable alternative transport exists.

To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must:
Live in Nottinghamshire
Be aged 16 +
Have the offer of a job, training course or place in education
Have no suitable alternative means of transport to access these opportunities.

Wheels to Work Nottinghamshire offers a Moped Loan scheme, as well as IGNITION, our new scheme which can offer solutions such as a bicycle, public transport and taxi vouchers, and training and equipment for those able to use a friend or relative’s moped. Successful candidates will be offered either help from IGNITION or the Moped Loan scheme if that is the most suitable solution.

Moped Loan clients receive a taxed, insured and fully serviced moped for 6 months, we provide a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course, plus safety equipment, and they will be covered by a breakdown recovery service. Clients make a contribution of £60 a month (£40 if on a course and not working at all) towards the costs of maintaining the mopeds, and are responsible for the costs of any damage incurred.

IGNITION clients receiving a bicycle, public transport / taxi vouchers or CBT’s and equipment will not need to pay for this service.

You can download an application form and our leaflet “Applying for a Moped Loan or IGNITION” here: www.wheelstowork.org
