At the moment telecoms providers think it’s not commercially worth their while coming out to rural areas to install broadband technology, but we want to urge them to prioritise the rural areas here in Nottinghamshire, otherwise thousands of homes and businesses could be languishing in the digital dark ages for many years to come.

One way in which we can do this is to encouraging members of the public and businesses to show their support by lodging their pledge on the Nottinghamshire County Council's Broadband home page at http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/broadband/
