The Playing Fields - January 2010
NewsThe January 2010 edition of The Playing Fields is now available.

This is distributed free of charge to all elected members, all local authorities, parish councils and providers of sport or play facilities in Nottinghamshire.

It is produced centrally by the Oxfordshire Playing Field Association with local input edited by Carola Jones, Senior Rural officer at Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire (RCAN)

Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire works with communities and community groups to help them achieve what is needed in the community. Over the past years this support has been offered to parish councils and community groups wishing to install, develop and maintain play and sports facilities. RCAN officers have also supported the development of district and borough play partnerships which have led to investment in play with funding obtained from the BIG Lottery fund. The partnerships are now involved in developing plans under the Playbuilder programme for the next two years.
