RCAN Press Release Rob Crowder RCAN'S Chief Executive is backing the MAN ENOUGH TO SAY NO TO DOMESTIC ABUSE campaign. The campaign is being backed by a wide range of partners including Nottingham Forest and Notts County Football Clubs, both Nottingham Universities, local businesses and Nottinghamshire Police and local Councils. The objectives of the campaign are: · to raise awareness of domestic abuse · to encourage men to demonstrate positive behaviours and attitudes towards women · to provide women with support and confidence to report domestic abuse Nottingham Post will be running regular features and stories to maintain profile and momentum and this will be supplemented by activities and events organised by providers of domestic abuse services. One of the campaign targets is to secure a pledge from 10,000 men “never to commit, condone or remain silent about men’s violence against women”. This is known as the White Ribbon pledge – White Ribbon being the international campaign to tackle domestic abuse. A dedicated website has been created for the campaign (www.man-enough.org) and pledges of support can be made in a number of ways, including online and by texting either “man” or “man enough” to 81400.
RCAN's new Bulk Oil project is here to help you! Are you worried about the price of heating oil fuel?… Don’t have time to compare the prices?… Don’t want to buy the minimum of 1000 litres?… Fed up of large delivery vehicles blocking the roads? Had problems ordering heating oil during last winter?
Oil customers are encouraged to buy heating oil early. RCAN believe it is important that oil customers get the best deal when purchasing their oil.
RCAN's oil purchasing scheme will be good for members, who save 4p per litre on average. The scheme also benefits the environment by reducing the number of tankers on Nottinghamshire’s country roads, and cutting vehicle mileage.
